Mark Greaney
Mark Greaney enters his first season on the Wolverine coaching staff in 2009-10. Greaney comes to Ann Arbor from Tucson, AZ after serving as an assistant coach and offensive coordinator for Arizona last season. Prior to that he coached in the UK, on the staff of the Mellor Lacrosse Club, and as the Head Coach of Cheadle/Marple 6th Form College squad.
With his background, Greaney’s focus will certainly be on the offensive side of the ball, but his experience as a coach and as a player will provide benefits over the entire field. Greaney was a four-year starter at Wheeling Jesuit University and is the program’s all-time career goal scorer (161). He led the entire NCAA Division II field in 2007 in goals and goals per game.
Greaney has also been very active with the Michigan Lacrosse Camps, operating on the staff for the past six years. He earned his B.S. in International Business at Wheeling Jesuit in 2007 and currently resides in Ann Arbor.
